  SECRETARY TO THE CLERK

The Secretary to the Clerk is responsible for initiating and coordinating the clerical and secretarial functions required by the Clerk of Circuit Court.

Secretarial duties include maintaining the Administrative Calendar for the Clerk, arranging meetings, preparing the agenda, gathering the materials needed and organizing the facilities. The position also requires the carrying out of any special project(s) required or directed by the Clerk.

The Secretary to the Clerk is also responsible for coordinating all travel arrangements, including making travel reservations with the airlines and making hotel/motel accommodations for the Clerk and other Administrative personnel.

The Clerk's Secretary also receives citizens' complaints over the telephone or in person, and must refer those complaints to the appropriate department supervisor and follow up with a phone call to insure the complaint has been resolved. The Clerk's Secretary also screens visitors and incoming calls and directs those who cannot be assisted by Division Directors or other Clerk employees to the Clerk.
