Helpful Hints when Requesting Services
- Pursuant to Florida Statutes 119.07 (3) (a)(f), 800 and 827, portions of certain files contain non-public information. In order to adhere to the law, the court file(s) whose charges pertain to these particular Statutes, would have to be redacted prior to viewing by the general public. This procedure requires 24 hours per volume. However, if it is only a particular document that requires viewing or a copy purchase, you may inform the Deputy Clerk and the redaction of this particular document can be done immediately.
- If you know the case numbers of the files you wish to view you can call ahead to arrange for
the files to be ready for you when you arrive at the Record Center.
Note: If the file you need to view is closed and has met retention requirements it may be destroyed. Destroyed physical files are maintained as a filmed record and are available at the Clerk & Comptroller's Office in the Courthouse in Dade City or the West Pasco Judicial Center in New Port Richey. - If you need to request a large number (12 or more) of case files for viewing come to the Record Center in Dade City or New Port Richey prior to 3:00 p.m.
- If you plan to purchase copies with or without certification wait until you are advised of the exact fees before completing a check.
- Acceptable forms of payment are cash, personal in-state checks with proper identification, business checks, money orders, bank checks, Visa or MasterCard. All payments for fees and costs must be remitted in US currency. DO NOT SEND CASH THROUGH THE MAIL.
- Checks should be made payable to: Paula S. O'Neil, Clerk & Comptroller
To avoid the busiest times in the Record Centers try to schedule your visit between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
