To purchase a piece of property off the List of Lands available for taxes

• A request for the current purchase price must be submitted in writing to the following address:

The request must contain the following information:

• The parcel number of the property



• The Tax Deed number assigned to the property



• The name and address of the inquiring party

Once the Tax Deed Department receives the request, current outstanding tax amounts will be compiled and the inquiring party will be notified. This process takes approximately two (2) weeks. The requestor will be given purchase prices good through several months.

After receiving notification of the purchase price, if you wish to purchase said property you will need the following:

• The purchase price amount payable in cash or certified funds.



• Payment for recording fees in the amount of $18.50 and documentary stamps on the purchase price figured at 70¢ per hundred dollars.
