Clerk & Comptroller Nikki Alvarez-Sowles announces the the return of a midwinter tradition unlike any other: The Big Shred III is on!
This pragmatic celebration of Data Privacy Day 2020 (January 28) is set for consecutive Saturday mornings, January 25 and February 1, at the West Pasco Judicial Center (New Port Richey) and the Robert Sumner Judicial Center (Dade City), respectively.
Each vehicle may present up to three copier boxes or two tall kitchen trash bags of sensitive, outdated documents (stripped of staples, paperclips, and other fasteners). Shred360 Tampa boss Cam Caudle invites you to watch as your private papers are dumped into shredding trucks and reduced to recyclable confetti.
The first two Big Shred events resulted in the destruction of a total of 16.5 tons of sensitive documents, producing the doubly happy result of decluttering area residents' spaces while thwarting identity thieves. We're excited to rev up this special opportunity for a third consecutive year.
