ETA EXTENDS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, CONFINEMENT ORDERS

Conditions triggered by Tropical Storm Eta prompted extensions of civil cases and petitions postponed from Thursday. Sixth Judicial Circuit Court Chief Judge Anthony Rondolino shifted deadlines for domestic violence and involuntary confinement into December.

Civil injunctions involving dating, domestic, repeat, and sexual violence, as well as stalking, are extended through Dec. 10.

Parties affected by Administrative Order 2020-040 PA-CIR shall be notified -- petitioners by the Clerk of the Court for Pasco County, respondents by the
Pasco Sheriff's Office
.

Additionally, confinements are extended for persons for whom a petition for involuntary placement has been filed and were scheduled to be heard today.


Cases that were to have been heard Nov. 12 are continued until they can be rescheduled by this Office, but no later than Dec. 10.
Facilities are authorized to confine affected persons until the rescheduled hearing.
Our Office shall file Administrative Order 2020-041 PA-CIR in each of the affected cases.
