The Pasco County Clerk and Comptroller's Office has had one case in Pasco County where scammers contacted a victim claiming that individual had missed jury duty. The scam artist then requested that the victim pay a fine by purchasing a gift card to the Clerk's Office. It was a scam. We have now received word that similar instances have happened in other Florida Counties including Sarasota and Manatee. If you receive a call like this, notify law enforcement.
