DADE CITY, FL -- Imagine opening your top dresser drawer and finding a twenty dollar bill. What if you found two twenty dollar bills, or perhaps a hundred dollar bill? What would your reaction be? It might surprise you to learn the Clerk’s Office holds hundreds of thousands of dollars in unclaimed funds every year. Those are simply checks our Office or the County sent out which weren’t cashed, or were returned to our Office for one reason or another. This year, we published our list of unclaimed funds in the Laker Lutz News on July 28th. We also published the list on our website at https://www.pascoclerk.com/150/Annual-Unclaimed-Funds-Publication. If your name is on that list, we have some of your money! Our website also has directions on how you can claim your funds, but don’t wait too long. You only have limited number of days before the funds are turned over to the County. The deadline to file your claim is September 1st. The clock is ticking!
This year, we have $208,518.06 in unclaimed funds from the Board of County Commissioners and $170,149.66 in unclaimed funds from our Office.
