Traffic Division

The Traffic Division maintains all records pertaining to traffic citations issued to persons in Pasco County. We also collect all fines, assist those who elect to attend a driver-improvement course, and set court dates for those wishing to contest an infraction allegation.

Driver’s Licenses

A person may obtain his/her driver’s license history from the Clerk & Comptroller’s Office. The base fees are $14.25 for a three-year history and $16.25 for a seven-year or lifetime history. Additional charges may apply. See Chapter 322.20 (11)(a) and Chapter 322.135 (1)(c), Florida Statutes.

Traffic Citation Guide

When you received your citation from law enforcement, you may have been given a Traffic Citation Guide for the convenience of mailing your payment and election form. This guide also provides valuable information pertaining to civil penalties, pleading not guilty, electing to attend a driver-improvement course, and performing community service.This information also is located on your citation. If you did not receive the guide, you may obtain a copy from the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles website.

Red-Light-Camera Violations

Chapter 316.0083, Florida Statutes, established a procedure related to red-light-camera violations. The law allows a municipality, county, or the state to operate cameras to enforce red-light traffic violations.
